This Chestnut Spread full of natural chestnut flavour is made in an artisanal way by the Abbey of Sept-Fons, established in Bourbonnais (a historic French province) since the 12th century. Note that the sweetness of the spread does not dominate, as per 100g of the spread, there are 55g of chestnut purée and a subtle touch of rum to bring out the fruity flavour.
 
This simple spread, with only the chestnuts from France, is a good festival gift to cheer yourself or the others. It can be a culinary aid and an excellent complement to any desserts: mousse, ganache, ice cream. It can even be served directly with 1 or 2 teaspoons to finish your meals in sweet.
